Overview
Kino-Sterie is a streaming platform concept developed during my CAS UI/UX Design studies at ZHdK. Aimed at film and culture enthusiasts, the platform highlights the 500 most-watched Swiss films. Users can explore content across genres, discover Swiss directors, and browse a historical timeline of box office hits from 1976 to 2021. I was responsible for the full visual concept and UI/UX design.

The Challenge
The challenge was to design a platform that communicates a rich archive of film data in a clear and engaging way. It needed to balance modern usability with the emotional and cultural depth of Swiss cinema, making it accessible to both casual viewers and film lovers alike.
The Solution
I created a clean, editorial-style interface focused on visual storytelling and intuitive navigation. The design uses cinematic imagery, bold typography, and clear structure to guide users through film collections, director bios, and the timeline of Swiss cinema. The UI emphasizes exploration and discovery without overwhelming the user.
The Result
The final prototype offers a refined, immersive experience that bridges film history with modern digital interaction. Kino-Sterie captures the spirit of Swiss cinema while offering a user-centered platform that invites discovery, learning, and cultural appreciation.
